At The Docks…

Submitted by: Dreadnought

It was a bright day out at the docks for a mid-aged Half-Orc. People were busy about their daily lives, some were gambling, others drinking, many were selling their wares and tending to the ships. All seemed well until a violent crash was heard not far off at a gambling table…

Quickening his pace, the half-orc moved to the scene. A large man, who the half-orc had noticed before, had been cheating people out of money at his gambling table.

A young lad had apparently tripped in front of the table and knocked over a cup revealing the cheater for the scum he was. Now the bastard was going to ” ave’ im self some crème of lad soup “, or so he put it…

“Picking on a boy are we Herold?” said the half-orc. “Mind yer own business arrrright Dreadnought!?”, said Herold. Dreadnought peered at Harold: “I’m afraid I’ve told you before what I thought of your obsession with children… If you don’t release him”- “Shaddap Dread, you dunna know nothin!”, barked back Harold, “I outta hang’ ye from the masts for yer nosey personality!”

“Drop the boy and we’ll settle this, I’ve been wanting this for a long time now.” Cooley, dreadnought pushed back his cloak revealing his sheathed sword. Harold hastily threw the boy to the floor and unsheathed his scimitar. “Die you half-breed sonnova”- In an instant Dreadnought was gone…

“Where’d you go Dread? Are you afraid? Dumb Orc!” There was no response… Harold turned to the boy who was just getting his bearings. “Time to deal with ye, BOY.” “Yer protector is gone… say bye bye” Harold held his scimitar high with one hand, about to bring it down with crushing force… It never came down, at least not until he went down. Behind him, Dreadnought appeared with his sword <)(Malice)(> planted into Harold’s back.

He turned to the boy, “Now run on home lad, we’re done here…” The boy nodded and was off on his way.

Dreadnought sighed to himself before kicking the corpse that lay at his feet. “Dummy”. He didn’t bother collecting this man’s soul; it was not worth the trouble. He turned and the crowed burst into chitter chatter… In seconds, Dreadnought was completely gobbled up by the crowd of people, he was no where to be seen…
