Play a Kindred if you want….
Kindreds are taller than humans but shorter than Frostborns, with the average kindred standing between 6′ 2″ – 6′ 5″. Despite their physical strength, Kindred are lean; Kindreds are not usually muscle bound, but move with swift speed. Their eyes are bright green or yellow, and gleam whenever they catch the light. Kindreds are covered with a thick coat of fur, which generally ranges from light to dark brown; depending on their homecity. A number of Kindred bloodlines have members (both male and female) who possess crestlike manes of hair that run from the head and down the spine; these rise up when Kindreds are frightened or angry.
Although these are general traits, they look very much like tall humans with an unusual amount of body hair. A Kindred might have gleaming red eyes, or black fur with fiery orange spots; a wide range of variations are possible.
Kindreds mature with remarkable speed for intelligent humanoids; they can be ready for battle at very young ages. They have short life spans – in fact, they rarely live longer than 70 years, but they typically remain remarkably strong and vigorous right up to the end of their days. When their strength leaves them, it is a sudden and catastrophic decline.
Kindreds are very much like humans, with the exception that instinct plays a powerful role in their lives. Family bonds are important to them, and while they might squabble to establish lines of dominance, between such challenges Kindreds are steadfast allies. In battle, Kindreds are strong team players, and they set aside any thought of personal glory to assist an ally. When seperated from their own kind, Kindreds seek to establish fellow members and are loyal to those they choose as friends.
Kindreds behavior seems aggresive to other races, a Kindreds is more likely to demand an answer than ask a question. Among Kindreds, this sort of intimidation isn’t considered a hostile act; it is a way of establishing strength. Kindreds are natural hunters, and they love the thrill of the chase and the challenge of the hunt.
Most prefer the wild open areas than to be inside city structures, but some adapt and come to see the cities as another sort of wild open area. Kindreds are a prideful race and they love to collect trophies of their victories and experiences; these can range from grisly remnants to simple objects that remind them of an event.
Kindreds are generally nuetral to the other races; maintaining that they are the dominant race and all others are submissive.
